Lots of school leavers join us every year. Take a look at our full time prospectus, downloadable here or available from your school careers department, Connexions, or just phone college and we’ll send you one. Maybe come to one of our Course Information Evenings, or just contact us for an informal advice appointment. You don’t have to know exactly what you want before contacting us.
- 2. What courses do you run for adults?
All our courses are open to adults, full time or part time. We run Access courses for adults who may have been out of education or traning for some time, and want an introduction to further or higher education
- 3. How much will I have to pay?
This varies according to age, whether you are joining a full time or part time course, your previous qualifications and whether the course requires exam fees or equipment. Our course guides will tell you the fees, but remember that there may be financial help available from the Learner Support Fund, education Mantenance Allowance, the Adult learning Grant or Bursaries. Our Advice and Guidance Staff can help you with more information.
- 4. I need extra help with learning, can the college give me any support?
Certainly! Our team of Learning Support Advisers are on hand to support you on your course with extra help with your coursework. They can help you with extra one-to-one sessions, or help you in classrooms or in workshop sessions. Tell us when you apply for a course, or contact our Advice and Guidance staff to discuss what help is available when you are thinking about college before deciding which course to join.
- 5. I have a disability. Can I come to college?
We pride ourselves on being an inclusive college. All students are welcome, no matter what their needs. All our sites are accessible, and we have lots of learning aids to help you in the classroom.

Most go into jobs, or Work Based Learning, but about 150 students each year go on into higher education (Higher National diplomas or Degrees) either with our College/Staffordshire University partnership (See the Higher Education section of this website) or at many other universities across the country. We publish a list annually - ask our Careers/H.E. department for a copy.
