College Awards Outstanding Student

A Tamworth based company has had one of its employees awarded an âOutstanding Student Awardâ from Tamworth & Lichfield College.
Alison Clarke an employee at Tamworth based manufacturer Instarmac Group plc has received an âOutstanding Student Awardâ from Tamworth & Lichfield College. Alison, who joined Instarmac in December 2005, is currently studying the âCIM Diploma in Marketingâ at the College through a sponsorship programme by her employer.
Alison received the award due to her high levels of commitment and excellent results on the course whilst still playing a vital role in her employerâs marketing team. Once she has completed the course she will then go on to complete the next stage in her marketing studies, which will once more be sponsored by Instarmac.
Nikki Jones, Director of Business Innovations at Tamworth & Lichfield College, said:
âAlison is an amazing young woman who has shown that with determination and drive you gain those qualifications that employers are looking for in the workplace. She has a great attitude to continually improve and learn more and Iâm sure she will be a great asset to her employer in the future.â
Alisonâs success at Instarmac is a testament to a company that is continuing to grow and develop. Instarmac Group plc has recently moved into a new custom-built office and manufacturing facility in Birch Coppice Business Park located in Dordon, Tamworth. This investment in facilities also reflects the continuous investment in employee development at the company whose goal is for all staff to reach their full potential. In recognition of this investment the company was awarded the prestigious Times One Star Best Companies Accreditation in 2007 to acknowledge its outstanding work practices and leadership.
Sarah Rose, Marketing Manager at Instarmac, said:
Alison is a vivacious, bubbly individual with a focussed drive and boundless energy to learn more and achieve greater understanding and success in everything she does. Her commitment is a shining example of how Instarmac positively encourages all employees towards a path of continuous training and development. With the help of Tamworth & Lichfield College we can offer our staff the opportunities to train and improve their skills and knowledge through a programme that fits around their life.â
