Tamworth and Lichfield College is based on two main campuses, one in the historic town of Tamworth, once the capital of the ancient kingdom of Mercia, and the other in the Cathedral City of Lichfield. Staffordshire University also have a base in the Lichfield Campus. Tamworth and Lichfield are situated six miles apart in Staffordshire, central England. Both have excellent road and rail links, and are only 1½ hours from London by train.

Accommodation

Home Stay Accommodation
All accommodation offered at Tamworth and Lichfield College is with host families. These families are visited and thoroughly checked by Tamworth and Lichfield College for their suitability. The advantage of this is that you will be integrated with the local community and get the opportunity to practice your English.
A variety of accommodation is available:
- Fully catered (bed, breakfast, evening meal and lunch provided when not attending college) - £95 per week
- Half Board (bed, breakfast and evening meal) - £85 per week
- Bed & Breakfast - £75 per week
- Self catered - £65 per week
All bedrooms have a minimum of a single bed and storage for clothes. A desk will be available for studying. Bed linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. The fully catered option is ideal if you do not like catering for yourself as you are provided with breakfast and evening meal seven days a week. No meals are provided if you select the self catering option. However, you are able to use the kitchen facilities to prepare your own meals. In both instances you will have access to the family’s laundry facilities.
When you arrive you will need to pay one month’s rent in advance plus a £100 deposit. The deposit will be returned to you when you vacate your room, provided there is no damage/breakages. If you wish to leave your host family, for whatever reason, you are expected to give at least two weeks notice to the College.

Fees and costs
Full-time overseas (non EU) student fees are currently £4300 per year. A £500 scholarship is being offered to all full-time non EU students.
Twenty week intensive English Language programmes commence in September and February, they currently cost £2800 for non EU students.
Thirty four week intensive English Language programmes commence in September, they currently cost £3800 for non-EU students.

Services for International Students

Tamworth and Lichfield College welcomes international students into its community. The International Student Office has a dedicated team of staff who will give you all the support you need during the application process and throughout the course. We will help with any necessary Visa applications and supply you with details of homestay accommodation. On your arrival we will arrange police and medical registration, and help you open a bank account if required.
Being away from home is an exciting time and an experience that you should make the most of. Tamworth and Lichfield College will ensure that your time with us is a rewarding and enjoyable one. The Student Services team arrange events, trips and visits throughout the year for all students to access.

We also offer twenty week intensive English Language programmes, commencing in September and February.
The programmes lead to the following internationally recognised certificates:
- IELTS – International English Language Testing System (English for Academic Purpose). IELTS tests are internationally recognised as an important means of measuring English ability. It is often a requirement for entry to full-time courses and general entry to university level education.

- Cambridge PET (Preliminary English Test)
